Day #1 - 26 August 2007

I had to wake up fairly early and spend another half hour waking up my 'voluntary chauffeur' and we left around 9.45am to the birthplace of ISP- One Utama, a popular shopping centre. Took us 30 mins to get there and get a parking and I immediately called my good friend, Jo and her cousin, Bree who were also shortlisted for this competition ( http://www.mix.fm/oap/07/mix_livingisp/main.asp ) to find out where they were as they were already at the venue. We managed to find our way there in our haste and there were games going on the stage. The REAL Ika, Serena and Pietro were on stage hosting the programme live as well as other excellent DJs from different timeslots ie. Ross(footie freak), Sham(Vin Diesel's voice-like and Eligible Bachelor ;) ) and a few others. After some games with people pretending to be poles and be danced around them, objects being pushed around the body through the shirt- game, q&a, the time has arrived!!

With bated breath, Pietro 'performed the birth' by unvieling the cutout for the first time to the world and to Ika's and Serena's surprise and gasps, an approximate 5feet tall cutout with a 'decorated' pic of Ika and Serena along together with an unscathed picture of Pietro came to view! Pietro was chuckling as he admitted he decided to add his own signage to the cutout without anyone's knowledge to get some revenge on the other 2 ladies who were always 'bullying' him on air. The cutouts were handed out and everyone got one. After that, all of us made a pledge LIVE on air which amongst the saying was 'We will shamelessly promote this cutout boards of 'Living with Ika, serena C and Pietro' for 3 weeks. After that, I hung around to have my ISP autographed and have a shot with Ika who compiled quite happily. She was groaning about her high heels and I shared the same sentiments with her as I was wearing high heels as well. She has had to look around for a marker to place her signage.

I then caught Serena C's eye and she bubbly(if there was such a word...) compiled to my request and I got a picture with her as well. She already had a marker pen in her hands and signed as well.

However, Pietro seemed a bit tired and he turned down my request of a mugshot.

I left with my 'voluntary chauffeur' after that once the crowd subsided and went to CoffeeBean to buy my 'voluntary chauffeur' a drink to compensate for troubling him and the early morning. He would have been still in dreamland if it wasn't for me. Anyway, after a refreshing drink, all of us 5 headed to Levis where I tried on a pair of Skinny Fit Levis. However, they were out of stock. So, we decided to head towards the carpark to head home. On the way back, as I was struggling to adjust living with ISP and trying not to injure anyone in my way, my 'voluntary chauffeur' was chided by two elderly female bypassers for not helping this petite girl to carry the ISP which he pleaded innocence. I then responded by saying it's my pledge and it will be my effort to bring my newfound housemates around. Loading ISP into a Toyota Rav4 proved to be a baffling task and eventually we managed. That left me wondering how will it fit into my compact aka tiny MYVI when I get around town for the next 21 days.

When we got back home, we all had a nap (of course ISP had very comfy spots..on the cool mosaic floor in our hot weather hehe) as we were all tired out from the morning spectacle. We woke up and watched the sunset together from a highspot which overlooked the city and had a great skyline with TwinTowers and the KL towers, up to even Maxis tower, all marking spots which I will bring ISP to visit for the next 3 weeks. Yes, this is me smiling after a tiring day despite a nap.
